Camera backpacks

Camera backpacks, or photo backpacks if you prefer, are intended for carrying cameras and their accessories. It follows from this definition that they must have good padding and must be designed in such a way that the camera in them can withstand even a little harder handling. Especially if we want to take a backpack with it into the field.

Practical layout

For camera backpacks, the practical layout of the internal spaces is also important, so inside there is usually room for the camera itself (SLR camera body), lens, tripod, flash and other necessary equipment. Some camera backpacks are even equipped with storage space for a laptop and other equipment.

With photo backpacks, we should also pay attention to access to individual equipment elements. The ideal is a zipper that is as long as possible and can be opened on both sides, which allows quick opening of the backpack and an immediate overview of its contents. Thanks to this, you will always be able to keep your photo equipment safe, but at the same time, if necessary, you can easily and quickly remove it from the backpack and use it at any time.

In addition to compartments for photo equipment, some camera backpacks are also equipped with space for other personal items – so that you don't have to choose an impractical combination of two pieces of luggage for a trip to the field. You will often get a compartment for a bottle with a drink, or a universal compartment for, for example, spare clothes or a raincoat in case of bad weather.

High-quality and durable designand ergonomics

In the case of camera backpacks, special attention must be paid to high-quality and durable workmanship. In particular, resistance to dust and water is important. You will encounter these elements most often in nature. But you will certainly also appreciate the padding – both on the back and the straps – which will make such a backpack more ergonomic and therefore more suitable for carrying. In addition, the interior of the backpack should be designed in such a way that it properly distributes the weight of the equipment on your shoulders and back, so that you do not lean forward, backward or to one side on the way.

In terms of ergonomics, the waist and/or chest belt will certainly please you for even better fixation of the backpack on the wearer's body. It will certainly be useful to have different access options for photo technology inside - but this feature also depends on your personal preferences.

Of course, you will choose a photo backpack depending on whether you are a professional or amateur photographer and also depending on what technology you actually want and need to carry with you. As a wildlife photographer, if you have to carry a bulky telephoto lens, you'll naturally need a more robust backpack than you would otherwise.
