Rescue backpacks

If we need quality equipment for sport, for working professionals it should be twice as much true. For example for rangers, military personel, but also for rescuers who save lives every day. Rescuers needs more things to make their work easier. In addition to high-quality clothes and footwear it will be also very likely a backpack.  Rescue backpack ? Exactly, and we will talk about it little more.

All in one

As rescuers, we will need a huge range of equipment that we will use for our work. We mean medical equipment, which we can not be without. These would include for example different bandages and dressings, burn relief products, but also more specific things such as tourniquet, intubation set, etc. Looking at these things we realize how the backpack must be big - and we have mentioned only couple of things.

Large and well organized

Rescue backpack can not have only one main compartment and small pocket on the front. Such backpack should have excellent organization with plenty of pockets for medical equipment. There are another options that these backpacks provide which are extra internal pockets. To be more specific – main compartment organization consists of hook and loop system which allows us to attach different pockets and compartments. In reality it works like this - for example, when we come to the accident, we can immediately reach for the green bag, where we have a stethoscope, blood pressure meter, blood sugar meter, saturation meter, etc. After the first inspection, we can reach the other bags, where we have bandages, laryngoscope or specially placed ampoules with sedatives, antibiotics, analgesics and other important medicaments to solve the ongoing situation. These bags and compartments must be padded to protect our equipment. On the outside there will be ideally several larger pockets for larger devices (defibrillator, etc.) It is important that all the pockets can be opened around the entire length which gives us a perfect overview.

Comfortable

Unfortunately, due to the large amount of equipment, rescue backpacks are very heavy. We should also think of our back and therefore pay attention to the high-quality carrying system. This include mainly padded shoulder straps and ventilation system. The padded hip belt and chest strap help with stabilization and distribution of the load from the back to the hips. This help us to overcome even longer distances. Material is also important. Unfortunately, it may happen that we get the biodegradable waste onto our backpack, which is very unpleasant for us. Highly suitable material is, for example, a polyamide fabric with polyurethane coating, which is easy to clean and maintain. The interior can be from nylon. Pay attention to durability as well as water resistance.

It is up to us !

Such a specific and important backpack should be chosen carefully. It also depends on type of professional services and intervention, whether we are medical professionals, fire-fighters or mountain rescue service. Keep in mind that the comfort and sophistication of the backpack will reflect on our work, which is highly important in this case.
