ANV, or Acta Non Verba, is a Czech knife manufacturer that does not like to compromise on its products. This also applies to the M311 COMP model, a compact version of the popular M311 SPELTER knife. The blade contour has been reduced by 13 percent to a total length of 235 mm. Although this variant is smaller and lighter than SPELTER, it is still just as durable.
The result of long-term testing The company ANV leaves nothing to chance, so it also tested its M311 COMP in the field for a long time before launching it on the market. And that both in the demanding conditions of dry, hot and humid regions of Asia, as well as beyond the Arctic Circle.
Top-notch blade steel One of the most important parts of a knife is generally the blade, which in the case of the ANV M311 COMP knife is made of Swedish Elmax steel, one of the best in the world. The top processing of the blade in the style of ANV Swedge is also underlined by the fact that the blade is in the so-called full tang style (i.e. it goes through the entire length of the knife) and on the heel of the handle it is equipped with a tip for breaking glass. It is also worth mentioning the DLC (diamond-like carbon) carbon treatment of the blade, which is anti-corrosive, reduces glare and improves the gliding properties of the blade.
3D machined handle The Micarta handle is 3D machined and shaped to provide a sure and firm grip at all times. After all, its indentation also serves these purposes. The grip is also aided by the paracord bracelet, which serves as an additional safety device against the knife falling out of the hand during dynamic movement, for example when chopping. Just like the blade, the four M5 screws, which together with the massive threaded bushings connect the two grips, are also treated with DLC.
Self-locking sheath The safe carrying of the knife is ensured by the self-locking kydex sheath, which is included in the package. This sheath is equipped with blade-tech attachment holes to allow it to be carried on a MOLLE/PALS attachment. The sheath is easy to maintain, thanks to the drainage hole, among other things. In addition to the kydex sheath, the package also includes a sling for convenient carrying of the knife on the belt.
