company Leatherman® was founded in 1983 in Portland, Oregon by
Timothy S. Leatherman, who graduated from mechanical engineering on Oregon
State University. He started to develop multitool called Pocket Survival, which
he succesfully finished altogether with his friend Steve Berliner. Nowdays, the
company produces over 30 products, mostly in section of multitools, which are
their key products.
