What is manganese phosphate coating ?
It is a special surface treatment of steel, where an insoluble phosphate layer is formed on its surface. It is a process of application when the base metal dissolves and then creates a part of the coating. The subsequent crystalline layer is electrically non-conductive, it does not dissolve in water or in organic solvents.
Technologies
Manganeic phosphate products contain manganese salt, phosphoric acid and accelerator. If the applied layer is treated with oil, waxes or diluted impregnated varnish, such treated surface will have excellent anti-corrosive properties.
Use
The manganese phosphate is best used in the coating of spiral gears, reduces friction and facilitates the rotation of machine parts.
