The APC9 series of self-loading rifles from the Swiss company B&T is popular, for example, among police forces, but they can also be used in sports shooting. The G variant of the APC9 PRO rifle is specifically combinable with Glock 9 mm double-column pistol magazines.
An advanced weapon for the police APC is an abbreviation of Advanced Police Carbine. This weapon is available in various versions and calibers, both for police, military and tactical use. The development of the APC series weapons took place in an agile process called "Development Expertise", which was taken over from the IT segment.
Rapid development does not mean reduced quality Designers led by Karl Brügger created the first working prototype of the APC9 weapon in less than 45 days from the first hand drawing. This is proof that rapid development does not necessarily mean reduced quality. Some of Brügger's ideas were even created in the evenings at the kitchen table.
A silencer to dampen the recoil The B&T APC9 self-loading rifle can significantly reduce the level of perceived recoil. It is equipped with an innovative hydraulic recoil buffer at the end of the barrel. Thanks to this, even with its relatively small dimensions, this weapon can generate only minimal recoil. Later, this concept was adopted by another popular series of B&T SPC9 rifles.
The same controls for all models of the series The advantage of the B&T APC series rifles is the fact that all of them, regardless of caliber and design, use the same ergonomics and control elements. Thanks to this, the unit can save both the hours spent on the shooting range and, in total, the cost of ammunition. Specifically, the B&T APC9 PRO G variant has a universal pistol caliber of 9×19 mm, thanks to which you can also use it at ordinary shooting ranges.
Complete set of accessories With over half of all parts within the APC platform, you can easily swap between all weapons, whether it's the compact and diminutive APC9 K PRO or the massive 7.62×51mm full-size APC308. You can thus choose various mutually compatible accessories, such as silencers, shoulder stocks, bipods, optics, handles or lighting.
For Glock 9mm magazines The APC9 PRO G version is compatible with Glock 9mm double column magazines. Thanks to this, you can easily switch these magazines between your main and backup weapons. This is often a Glock pistol or a compatible alternative. Although in this case it is not a sub-compact carbine like the K version, it is still a very compact and compact solution.
Reversible bolt cocking lever Above the magazine there is a bolt cocking lever, which is ambidextrous and therefore suitable for both right- and left-handed users. Thanks to the fact that it is foldable, it does not obstruct your view when you are not using it. By the way, this is a solution that was later adopted by the popular SPC9 series rifles from the APC9 series.
Easy handling and customization The APC9 PRO G rifle is basically equipped with a fixed stock, which makes it easier to hold the rifle while shooting and thus to aim. In addition, you also get an interchangeable pistol grip with a magazine holder, so you can more easily adapt your weapon to your needs.
Optical and mechanical sights Together with the weapon, you also get the Aimpoint optic, which is designed so that the battery for the light has to be changed only once every few years of use. Two mechanical folding sights complement the optical solution perfectly - and precisely because they are foldable, you can use them optionally when shooting.
Quad Rail upper receiver The rifle's upper receiver is of the Quad Rail type – that is, it is equipped with practical mounts for installing accessories from all four sides. At the top is the classic Picatinny 1913 universal rail, which runs along the entire length of the upper receiver.
