This knife of specific shape was designed by John Benner, founder and owner of Tactical Defense Institute and it was specially designed as a “last option knife“ for police officers in sutiations, when it is difficult to reach for a weapon.
Drop point full tang blade made of stainless steel AUS 8A of hardness 57-59 HRC.
The blade has a black coating eliminating unwanted reflections and preventing corrosion.
On the blade there is a KA-BAR sign / logo.
On the serrated part you will find a group of small teeth, which is separated from the next one by larger, shallow arc. The blade thus cuts more smoothly and yet even more aggressively and without stubbing even fixed and fibrous materials. This blade is designed, for example, for cutting of belts, ropes, seat belts and clothing.
The knife is provided with a simple guard- protection against slipping fingers on the blade.
The handle is made of high-quality and durable material Zytel® - fiberglass nylon with a rough texture and molded finger notch.
Shaping (curves) on the back of the blade by the handle aims not only to decorate the knife, but also functionality - a non-slip platform through which you can apply pressure to the knife and guide the knife with your thumb or forefinger.
The knife comes with robust and durable Zytel® belt sheath - fiberglass nylon. It has a reversible pocket clip (external or irternal concealed wear). it holds knife safely and allows for quick pulling out.
It is supllied with two replacement bolts and an Allen key.
