In today's dubious times, it is simply necessary to defend ourselves. Someone still does not understand it, someone has already learned it or is self-assured, that he/she can realize it even without having bad experiences. For example, we can defend ourselves with pepper spray and other means of self-defense that are approved as legal. Those of us who carry a weapon will need something where they can store it. Along with holsters approved for concealed carry, we can also use weapon bags and cases. Let´s talk about them.
Concealed
Weapon bags are practically EDC carry bags, which does not look somehow suspiciously with their design. However with just a small movement, we are able to pull out the weapon and start defending ourselves. Such bags come in different sizes, colours and designs. For us, however, one specific compartment will be the most important and that is the pocket where we can store our weapon. This pocket must be placed so that we are able to pull the weapon naturally. At the same time, however, it should be inconspicuous. Ideally it has zipper fastening which allows quick access to the weapon. In the most ideal case, it will also feature hook and loop system where we can attach some universal pouch. At the same, we should be able to adjust it according to our needs. We should avoid those that have a pocket in the weapon compartment. Each weapon is different, so this variant may not be appropriate. And that is all ?
Pay attention to it
In addition to the pocket for weapon, we should also pay attention to other features of such bag. Of course, the pocket itself must be padded to protect the weapon. There are, however, other important features. For example the way of carry. The most often used is shoulder strap.But don´t get fooled, even that must be well thought-out. It is important, that this strap is at least 5 cm wide to provide comfortable carry. It can also feature a pad for even more comfortable carry. The strap should be of course also fully adjustable. The other things, such as size of the bag and number of additional pockets, that is rather question of personal preferences. However, it should feature extra pockets where we can store items like cell phone, magazines, keys, wallet, etc. Last but not least, the material also plays an important role. Polyester is cheaper, but not as good as nylon, which in its modification 1050D is highly durable as well as water resistant. Another important features are zippers, hook and loop system, buckles, „D“ rings, etc. Look for names such as YKK® or Duraflex® that will never dissapoint you.
Naturally
To draw a gun should be natural. Unfortunately, due to the closed pocket, we will have to overcome the zipper, which means it is not as fast as with the weapon holster on your belt. On the other hand, however, this option is more comfortable. Just be careful where you leave the bag. After all, there is a firearm inside and its loss is against the law.
