The upper boot is placed into a specially designed mould and various layers of PU foam padding are then poured into it. The plastic Polyurethane is known as a lightweight foam padding, which is appropriate for shoes.

Ottawa GTX thanks to the PU foam and its direct injection offers also other advantages. These include for example very good cushioning properties. The plastic retains its form and springs back to its original condition. This, in turn, creates a good rebound effect. The direct injection ensures, that the sole can be designed in a very large number of ways.
